Family Pictures and Mike's B-day

We had a friend, Josh Keliiheleua, take some pictures of our family at the end of August. They turned out so good! Thank you Josh!!!

We love this one because Paden is looking back.

These were fun but Liv and I sure have crazy hair.

This was our favorite overall.

We had a cake and balloons for Mike when he got home from the Priesthood session of conference. The kids had a great time frosting the cake and putting the candles on.

What is a birthday without party hats?

We went with a group to the Brazil Grill restaurant in Portland for Mike's birthday. Thank you Aunt Roseanne and her family for watching so many kids so we all could go!

Paden enjoying Mike's dessert.

more summer pictures

Grandma Berkey got a little pool to play in. We pumped it up one afternoon when it was warm and the kids had a great time. The pool had little holes that sprayed water and Paden kept trying to drink the water where it was spraying.

Grandma Judd taught Evan, when he was little, this. She would say,"How big is Evan?" and then Evan would raise up his arms and then she would say, "So big!". She has now taught it to Paden. One morning at breakfast Paden was doing it. He does it all of the time now!

This is Evan at the State Fair. They have a thing called Muttin Bustin'. Evan and Olivia did it last year and wanted to do it again this year. Evan rode by himself this year. I think he did great! He said he got dust in his eyes and mouth but loved riding. Olivia rode too but I didn't think to make a vidoe until Evan rode.

Our Summer

Hello! After a four month break we are back! A lot has been happening but I have not made my blog a priority. I have a bunch of pictures from the last months so this blog is very long. Here is a list of some of the highlights of the summer: Olivia's 3rd birthday in May, we planted the garden, Nathan and Brittnee visited with their family, we moved to Amity, vacation to Idaho and Utah, Evan's preschool graduation, very hot days spent in the pool at Grandma Berkey's, going to Silver Falls State Park, Camping at Cape Lookout Beach, and Paden's bottom two teeth coming in. Paden is now eight months, on August 19th, and will hopefully be crawling in the next month. The pictures are all out of order but at least there are there :)

Evan and Liv in the bath tub in the R.V. we took camping.

Evan just took off his wet clothes from the beach.

Evan took this picture. Mike came later on this day so he is not in the picture.

It was an overcast morning and pretty cold but they still played in the water.

Paden in the water and Silver Falls.

Mike showing off his tricks to Evan and Liv in the pool. He is doing a flip off of the wall.

Liv kept showing how she could lay on her back in the pool.

Evan took this picture of himself.

Paden's first time in a pool. This is at the Judd Family reunion in Manti, Utah.

We went to visit our friends Harry and Jill McNiven in Idaho. The have three horses and the kids got to go for rides.
Having dinner at the McNiven's. Their children are Howard and Naomi.

Liv loved Harry and Jill's dog, Jasmine

Evan's Preschool Graduation. The girl to his left is Nora. He says that she is his girlfriend.

Paden's first time eating rice cereal. He is six months old.

Planting the Garden. We did this in May.

Evan and Olivia were hot and thirsty after planting and working.

Nathan and Brittnee came to visit over Memorial Day. It was so much fun!!! Here Devyn had a stick in the garden and kept trying to hit Nathan. He is trying to take it away from her (this was hilarious to watch).

Olivia on the morning of her birthday. She got a play kitchen. She also got her favorite thing for breakfast, boiled eggs. She says "boigled eggs".

Getting ready to plant a garden

Mike, Evan and Olivia tilling the ground.
Mindy used the small rototiller and it was
really hard. Luckily Mike brought
home the small tractor and implement and had
the job done in no time.

Evan caught a tree frog in the garden.

The finish garden. It looks good. We are planning
the vegetables that we want to plant: corn, peas,
tomatoes, basil, cucumbers, peppers, squash and beans.
Jenny is looking forward to garden grown lettuce! The best
(You'll have to ask her for that story)

Playing at the Park!

Here are some pictures from the playground.

Easter Egg Hunt at Yamhill City Park

Waiting for the start. They both went
with the 3-4 year old children

Mike giving hunting strategies, we saw 2 golden eggs
and told Evan to get those first, he did and then
didn't know what to do, he caught on.

The Golden Eggs! Evan gave one to Olivia.

The prizes they picked out.

The Berkey Family
Darrin, Rhonda, Betsy and Carson were late
and missed the excitement, so we played
on the play ground after.

Olivia's magnifying glass.

Evan's trumpet, notice his lips are
covering the mouthpiece.

Paden slept through the whole thing.

Naps

I titled this blog "naps" because for the first time in a while Olivia and Paden are asleep at the same time and Evan is at preschool! I have to hurry though. I really don't know how long this dream will last! Here are a ton of pictures. I know it is long but some fun things have happened since the last blog.
Thanks for the fun idea Brittnee!!! We had a fun evening making this cake!
Emma helping color and pour the batter.

We went to Bend last weekend. We stayed at the Inn at the seventh mountain. It was so much fun! Mindy and Mike went snowboarding. It was Mindy's first time. The resort has heated pools and hot tubs so everyone went swimming. Evan and Olivia loved it. They had to be freezing, but they did not want to leave! We also went to the High Desert Museum. It is a great museum, probably the best one we have been to in Oregon.

Olivia loved the turtle named Speedy. She didn't want to leave him to see the rest of the museum.

Paden at the room we stayed in.

Olivia with Grandpa

Evan and Mike in the hot tub. It was cold so steam was coming from the tubs and the pools.

They had a "kiddy" pool that only went to three feet deep. Evan and Olivia kept getting out and jumping in to Mike and Grandpa. They are both getting so big. Evan didn't need help very much while in that pool.

This was a funny picture. They are all ready to swim but had to put on their coats!

Evan climbed this rope obstacle by himself after grandpa helped a few times. I think he is stuck at the top in this picture and needed help getting down.

Evan with Mike. Mike just got back from snowboarding.
Olivia on the deck where we stayed. She has on Mindy's sunglasses.

Olivia and Aunt Mindy

Paden taking a bath in the sink.

Paden is now 10 weeks old. This is when he was two months old. He is starting to make noises and smile. He is getting big so fast! He just had his two month check-up and is 11 pounds 3 ounces!
